What's Next?!: Movement, Management, & Money

July 29, 2022

What a week in St. Louis, VenCaf Community. We hope everyone is safe and healthy after the storm that rolled through. What a switch up from last week, Missouri will always keep us on our toes. Despite it raining cats and dogs, Venture Cafe kept moving forward and finished out our monthly programming for July, "What's Next?!". Thank you to all our speakers & community members who spoke, volunteered or just arrived at Venture Cafe for this monthly thematic programming. Without further ado, let's get into What's Next?!: Movement, Management & Money

What a week in St. Louis, VenCaf Community. We hope everyone is safe and healthy after the storm that rolled through. What a switch up from last week, Missouri will always keep us on our toes. Despite it raining cats and dogs, Venture Cafe kept moving forward and finished out our monthly programming for July, “What’s Next?!”. Thank you to all our speakers & community members who spoke, volunteered or just arrived at Venture Cafe for this monthly thematic programming. Without further ado, let’s get into What’s Next?!: Movement, Management & Money.

To start us off, we heard from Lev Gutter, Nerishka Cruz, Ricardo Martinez & Rikki Henry. These speakers were all alum of CET’s Square One IGNITE program. A program dedicated to helping new business owners or early-stage entrepreneurs who are actively engaged in the development of a bioscience, information technology or advanced manufacturing enterprise. Each of our speakers talked about what they learned in their time with Square One’s Ignite Program & the tools they have taken with them to exceed in their own venture.

Next, we had a back to back program with Carlin Box of Country Financial giving his advise and insight on business insurance and how you can leverage it. Alongside him Donalee Gastreich of Complete Solutions LLC was in another room speaking about how one could hope to manage, monitor & master their own professional growth through arduous or uncertain time. Donalee focused on how to provide clues to gaining confidence in your adaptability & consistency

Finally, we had Sheila Buswell of Buswell Biomedical along with Peter D. Smith of Lindenwood University donate their knowledge and research in rehabilitation and movement. Sheila has been hard at work looking at fifty different samples of movement — taken via a harness with movement sensors — and how those samples could contribute to what better rehabilitation and movement look like in the future.

Well, VenCaf Community, that’ll do it for our July Monthly Programming. What’s Next was a great month, full of gems and education as to what we can expect to see and focus on in our ecosystem and other ecosystems in the coming years. If you missed any of our gatherings, feel free to scroll back through our VenCaf Recap to see what you might’ve missed! Looking forward to August, Venture Cafe is going to focus on Civic Restoration. August will be all about how we can improve our community through tangible means and who is already doing that work, that you might need to keep a look out for. We hope to see you then, until then, stay safe & stay dry.
