Adult Play & Proposition D & R were front and center this week among the other speakers and sessions we had highlighted for yesterday’s Thursday Gathering! Let’s get into what you might’ve missed from this week in our Civic Restoration lineup!
To start we held Building On The Fruit of Proposition D & R with Wally Siewert, Benjamin Singer, Jacqueline (Jami) Cox & our very own J.P. Johnson. This panel of civic leaders spoke about the successes that Proposition D & R can create and its impact on our community.
We then heard from Carlin Box from Country Financial as he lead Office Hours: Bussiness Insurance, letting our attendees know the best way they can leverage insurance for their endeavors. At the same time Angela Wildermuth of Wildermuth Kids Urban Forest School, led goers outside to experience outdoor play! You can tell from the pictures below that they had a great time connecting with their inner child and seeing how just the simple act of playing outside can lead to a fuller life.
Finally, Mary Scott of Business Riff led our Conversation Corner this week as she asked the question, “If money wasn’t a concern, what kind of business would you create?“ Mary is an ambassador and an avid member of our community and bringing her to the forefront of conversation and activities is without a doubt an enlightening and engaging process time and time again!
That’s going to do it for this week of our Civic Restoration programming VenCaf Community! We are almost at the finish line for August and this thematic programming so, if you have missed this or any previous Gatherings this month, be sure to try and make it to our final one, Civic Restoration: Building Capital & Community! We’ll see you there!
