Welcome BACK VenCaf Community! It’s 2023, and it’s going to be a year to remember! We gotta’ set out best foot forward right? I hope you all had time to recharge, renew and restore your passion for innovation during this small break. Kicking off 2023, we are going to be doing things just a tad bit differently here at Venture Café, but let’s get into that and what you might’ve missed with Serendipitous Collisions!
In 2023, Venture Café will be undergoing a new weekly model. How the structure will work, is as follows: The first Thursday of every month will be Serendiptious Collisions, a Gathering dedicated to collaborative activations for you to meet other professionals and break the ice. Venture Café strives for organic connections but, sometimes, a good nudge can help those connections flourish and that’s what we aim to do with this first week of every month. Some activities offered were a Happen Story Station, where community members were interviewed by our very own Ebbi Young to promote their venture. A Goals and Challenges board where attendees discussed the best way to break through their goals in the first quarter or how to beat the challenges stopping them from succeeding with those goals and finally, a live community poll that would show results as they were being submitted on screen.

Let me give you a sneak peek though since you’re already here, the second Thursday will be Community Activations, the third Thursday will be COLLIDE Events and the last Thursday of every month will be Corporate & Community Partners. What do all of those entail? Well, you’ll just have to come and see! But from this little tidbit I hope your interest was peaked in what Venture Café will be doing throughout the year.
