This Thursday, we went back to the roots of Venture Cafe and hosted Corporate & Community Partnerships! This gathering was a focus on our like-minded and fellow innovative organizations that have been supporting us throughout this last year alongside new partners that we hope to continue creating, and flourishing in this ecosystem. Let’s get into what you might’ve missed!

The first hour of Venture Cafe this week was absolutely jam-packed with content. We showcased CIC’s Social Impact Cohort. The goal of the Social Impact Cohort is to work alongside one another with the aim of collaboration, learning opportunities, and interaction. We showcased the 7 companies part of this cohort and highlighted their experience with a panel organized by CIC.

At the same time, we featured two other programs, FoundHER: Ambitious Af. An initiative started by TechSTL’s, Emily Hemingway. This aims to be a gathering and networking experience for women entrepreneurs, a place for them to connect and grow and share challenges that they can overcome together. Alongside this Starting From Square One returned! Our friends over at Cortex Innovation Community brought along Northside Economic Empowerment Center to show communities of color that resource allocation and acquisition is within their reach and down the street.

Faro Law, LLC also returned to us! Mike LaBozzetta, an attorney with Faro Law was able to get give consultations and insight into business law with budding startups and entrepreneurs. His insight was absolutely invaluable for our attendees! Last but, NEVER least, we continue working with Brandon Wilkes, The Executive Director for the St. Louis Reconciliation Network. This week he graced us with Nancy Jordan’s presence, who is the Founder of Biz By Faith. Nancy spoke about her organization’s goal to empower faith-based entrepreneurs with the knowledge they need to succeed alongside their faith.

It was jam-packed and a treasure trove of knowledge this week, and if you missed out never worry we will continue to showcase these partners and community thought leaders ever FOURTH THURSDAY of the month, so look forward to the next one in February! With that said, have a greet weekend VenCaf Community, and see you next week for Serendipitious Collions!
