Second time for the year and you guys are still making it feel like the first with your attendance and interaction! Serendipitous Collisions kicked off our February Gatherings and during it, we showcased two very important people among the sesssions and networking icebreakers we hosted this week so let’s get into what you might’ve missed!
To kick things off our director J.P. Johnson hosted Venture Cafe 101! This informative session aims to highlight what newcomers can expect from their (hopefully long) tenure here at Venture Cafe, organic collaborations, innovative ideas, and new technology. Despite being made for the newcomers, even veterans can probably learn something they didn’t know attending this session.
Following that, we highlighted Lynn Lewis with ROIT Academy. Lynn’s insight was invaluable as she highlighted an individual’s ability to get the maximum amount of impact with the time we have left. She broke down the importance of time management and moving with a sense of urgency for the truly important tasks.
Then, finally, we had our friends over at TechSTL join us again this week however, this time Emily Hemingway brought along her friends over at TechXP as she led a panel discussing the trends for Amazon Web Services or AWS and how it relates to entrepreneurs, startups, businesses, and how they can leverage and look out for this emerging signs.
Thank you each and everyone who came out to our Gathering this week, as we continue our new monthly cadence, we encourage you to keep looking on the website and socials to see who we might be bringing in every week. Until next time VenCaf Community!
