TechWeek was alive and well throughout the city this week and luckily, TechSTL decided to bring their caravan of innovation to Venture Cafe! If you missed this Gathering, no worries, as always I have got you covered with a quick Recap of what was here this Thursday, so let’s get into it!
Kicking us off were our good friends over at the Cortex Innovation District with Starting From Square One: Legal Services of Eastern Missouri. They were educating all attendees about the importance of knowing the legality of business and startups, also offering any insight into any questions about those topics that the audience had!
Following this knowledgeable trio was the COLLIDE: Startup Expo, if you have been coming to Venture Cafe this year you would’ve heard the name COLLIDE. Which is a partnership between ourselves and TechSTL. This COLLIDE was expanded due to TechWeek and was able to bring in several different vendors to show off their innovation and products. Alongside that Startup Expo, there was ALSO a Digtal Equity Resource Fair which aimed to bridge the divide of the digital gap! With over 20+ vendors in our space, there was something to see or learn for every individual!
If there already wasn’t a ton to bite your teeth into, TechSTL also brought out two separate sessions! The Broadband & Digital Inclusion Presentation spoke to the aforementioned divide and barriers seen in the Digital space. The Community Resource Panel highlighted the several different ways one could circumvent those obstacles and find support within their community.
All of these amazing offerings accumulated over 250+ people in the space this Thursday! These high attendance Gatherings are becoming the norm again huh? All in all, it was a fantastic month jam-packed with content for startups and entrepreneurs. As the months go on we strive to be bigger and better but, continue to bring the insight and information that you need no matter what line of work, o r area of expertise you are in. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to enjoy a much-needed weekend! We’ll see you all next Thursday for Serendipitous Collisions!
