To start our normal Community Connections was taken to a whole new level with the incredibly talented DJ Makeda Kravitz on the ones & twos! She kept the vibes up and made the energy palpable as people danced in their chairs, or nearby whilst talking about their next big idea.
Following her, our TWO Featured Activations were, Rolonda McCray of The Scented Hug Candle Co. who was showing off and handing out her scented candles which aim to promote a healthy mind, body & soul. Alongside Rolonda, Paul Tavo brought out his outstanding contributions to the artistic world with Yessoh Art, alongside his own self-made clothing line God’s Toughest Warrior.
Lastly, our two sessions of the night were oriented toward capital readiness and thinking on your feet. Ashley Rube and Ryan Myers of The Improv Shop came by to show entrepreneurs how closely tied networking is to improv and how one can benefit in their connection-building endeavors from a little bit of improv experience! Simultaneously we had LaTonya Jackson, Shellcee Sharp, and, Lisa Morgan speak about Capital Readiness. Their objective was to let all attendees know the best avenue for obtaining capital through bankers.
