Theme by hosting our gathering titled, Finances, Functional Medicine & The Future. This gathering was focused on those topics, with key speakers alluding to what looks to be the new breakthrough insight or knowledge in those respective fields and how we can all tap into that. We learned about the importance of managing your businesses expenses, how healthcare is more than just pharmaceuticals and how AI could be beneficial or detrimental to our community. Happy Friday VenCafe Community! We had a fantastic event yesterday by the name of What's Next: Getting To A World Without Cancer. This was an event in which our Venture Cafe team partnered with Pedal The Cause, a local fundraiser that aims to provide critical funding for cancer research through the Siteman Cancer Center. We heard from a host of doctors that are well versed in the differing cancers and the research they're conducting to combat it. Let's get into what you might've missed!

July is the start of our new monthly thematic programming by the name of What's Next?! This is a focus on the emerging technologies, industries and resources in our community that maybe don't get enough spotlight or love, this week was Resources, Research & Recharging Mindsets!

For every new entrepreneur, there is a seasoned business owner. This Gathering was meant to appeal to both sides of that aisle by highlighting that "Starting" can have just as many challenges and solutions as "Investing" or "Growing". This past Thursday offered a virtual program as our Director was in Canada as a Delegate of the Ontario Province! We co-hosted the session Winning At Equity Crowdfunding with Venture Café Miami & Venture Café Monterrey! This session was led by Michael Burtov - inventor, speaker, and author of the Evergreen Startup! Michael detailed his success in utilizing a crowdfunding startup metric to lead businesses in becoming mature, million dollar ventures!

Happy Juneteenth, everyone! Being part of the new team at Venture Café means this was OUR first Juneteenth Celebration! We were thrilled to host this Gathering, and proud of the community response. Those who are aware of Juneteenth understand its significance in heavily Black populated cities like in St. Louis. For those who were not familiar with Juneteenth, we wanted to spotlight the individuals and organizations doing incredible work in their respective industries and in our community. It was a great event that showcased Black culture, influence, and creation. We had snacks, games, engaging sessions, and good vibes! Let's get into what you might've missed!
