Eric Madkins joined Regions Bank in March 2014 and is responsible for community development and CRA initiatives in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri, which involves developing partnerships with business groups both internally and externally to assist in successfully identifying CRA lending opportunities, capital investments, and services. Madkins serves on the bank's St. Louis Market Executive Leadership Team and is a subject matter expert on Community Reinvestment Act regulation and compliance. Madkins has won several awards for his work in affordable housing and has over 18 years as a community and economic development development practitioner, which consists of expertise in lending, loss mitigation, public finance, neighborhood stabilization and nonprofit management. Madkins earned a Bachelor of Art in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Administration and Public Policy from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and holds two Master Degrees from Webster University in Communications and Business Administration/Management. Madkins is also a graduate of Focus St. Louis' Leadership St. Louis. Madkins serves on the board of directors of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, the St. Louis Community Foundation, Focus St. Louis, Epworth Family and Children Services, Connections to Success and the SoulFisher Ministries.
