Tyler Rivera is an Associate at Mass Economics, a Cambridge, MA-based research and consulting firm. He supports Mass Economics’ research and consulting work through rigorous qualitative research and data analysis. Tyler’s recent work includes conducting a landscape analysis of entrepreneurship curricula to evaluate the core competencies emphasized in theory and practice, and contributing to the development of a framework to drive inclusive prosperity in the American Heartland through entrepreneurship education. Tyler brings an equity lens shaped by his lived experiences and background in the social sciences to inform his approach to inclusive, sustainable economic development. Prior to Mass Economics, Tyler held internships with the Center for Economic Democracy, Mt. Auburn Associates, and Massachusetts Jobs with Justice, worked as a climate justice fellow with the International Organization for Migration, and served as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the NYC Mayor’s Office. He holds a Master in City Planning from MIT and an AB in geography from Dartmouth College.
